Affordable, tough, and well designed. May 04, 2010
By Ryan B. Hanks An excellent little Multimeter for most purposes. Not a lot of bells and whistles but it has a nice MIN/MAX average function and the auto ranging works very well. Good for Electricians and students and uses a low impedance set up to eliminate ghosting and that is something to note for people using sensitive electronic equipment. This model will not work as an amp meter, so if you need one then this isn't the meter for you. Its tough and feels well built. For the price a very good meter.

It's a Fluke, pricey, but reliable Jul 20, 2011
By joe It's a basic Fluke Multimeter. Good for most applications that require a reliable and accurate meter that can measure AC (true RMS) or DC Voltages, Capacitance, circuit continuity, or Resistance. Notice however that in the product description there is no mention of current reading capabilities. That is because the Fluke-113 CAN'T MEASURE CURRENTS directly, so If you need to measure Currents directly, this is not the meter for you. (Maybe look into the Fluke 115, more expensive, but it can measure DC or AC currents). Overall, It has performed very well for me in various applications from home renovation electrical work to hobby electronics. Exactly the quality (and price) that one would expect from a Fluke Instrument.
Best layman's multi-meter ever May 14, 2012

Just turn the dial to one position and it senses the type of current, the range and even decides if you are doing continuity testing-you can turn off the audio if you like as well as checking diodes/LEDs and Caps..all very accurately. It does have the "lean-to" stand included as well. Got to get some alligator clips now!
This is a different kind of animal May 01, 2012
By Reviewer There is a reason why the 113 is named "Utility Multimeter", unlike other Fluke DMMs. It also has its terminals marked "Low Impedance", which is 3 kOhms. It's one of them deals where "if you ask - then you don't need it", and you should turn your gaze towards different multimeters.
The 113 is not suitable for electronics for its low 3 k Impedance and a very limited Ohmmeter: 60 k max.
This is a great tool for general electrical work around the house and for any measurements where low Impedance is a plus. I particularly like its ability to auto-switch from buzzer to diode tester, to DC Voltmeter, to AC Voltmeter.
