2I cant trust the tool. (updated)  Oct 20, 2009
By Buford
Long story short. Got my new 3150 at a great price. Hooked it to GM vehicle and it came back with C0040. Scantool says Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Subfault. I end up replacing not one, but both hubs. ($280) Light still on, scan still says C0040. I search the web and find out that C0040 means Right Front Sensor. $140 more dollars. I call Innova tech line to complain. Guys says the code C0040 is for Rear Wheel Blah, Blah. No, its not, but the tool and the website they have says it is. He had no idea when the site would be updated, or a release to update the 3150. Its been over a week and if you search Innova's site for C0040 it still says Rear! Update: The website has been updated. There is no online updates for the 3150, but I can live with it, I'll just doublecheck the codes against other sites.

5Traded up from Equus 3100 to 3150  Apr 07, 2010
By BobMc
Got my 3100 a while back, and it pretty much paid for itself every time I used it. I was able to repair some inexpensive sensors, and not be at the mercy of the auto dealer or independent mechanics (who seem to be as expensive as the dealers anymore). When I started having ABS problems, the 3100 could not read ABS codes. So I sold it to my brother and upgraded to the 3150. He has only foreign cars, so there is no inexpensive code reader (as far as I have been able to figure out) that could read his ABS.

I'm also really happy with the 3150. Reads and clears ABS codes on many GM, Ford, and Chrysler cars. I have a 2002 Chevy and a 1997 Ford, and it will work on both. Be sure to check the list at the manufacturer's web site for your specific vehicle before purchasing. 3150 has already paid for itself also. Dealer wants $99 just to read a code. And if you know what the problem is up front, you can fix yourself, take to the most cost effective repair place, or at least negotiate over the phone before leaving your car for repair. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for DIY's with decent knowledge of automobile mechanics.

3Equus3150  Dec 24, 2009
By Dennis M. Hagerty
I bought the 3150 to diagnose an emmissions problem on a 97 camry and it worked great for that, however when I went to check on the abs system it stated that it wasn`t supported, reading the information on the box after the fact I realized that the abs diagnostics support very few vehicles and none of mine, 2001 dodge ram, 2009 hyundai sonota, 2001 honda civic. So do your homework before you purchase the 3150 for the abs feature.

2Good idea, but has no support and is just a re-badge  Dec 21, 2010
By Frank Metzer
I use to be an auto-tech so I know my standards can be high. But for $130 I was just looking for a good DIY level ODB2 scanner with some ABS support. Instead what I got was a rebadged older model (3110?), bad information in the scanner, and no support.

When I opened it and turned it on it said it was using version 1.00. So I went to update it as I know some of the codes inside had bad information (like saying Code XYZ is a bad right wheel sensor when it was a bad left sensor). Well it said I had the most current version for my 3110 scanner. The 3150 and 3160 are just rebadged older models with ABS support. And on top of that they have not been updated ever.

I wrote their company 3 times and never heard back. Yes I checked my spam folder and such, but nothing.

As such I cannot recommend this item. It is outdated, bad information stored in it, and absolutely no support.
If you have this please make sure to recheck any information it says about possible problems with the car online at other sites.
But for me I am returning this item.
